With its massive production budget and global appeal, it’s no surprise that the movie is expected to be a huge hit. But, will it be available on Peacock? Let’s dive into the details to find out.
Availability on Peacock
Peacock is a relatively new streaming service from NBCUniversal, launched in 2020. While it’s primarily designed for NBCUniversal content, it also offers a wide range of movies and TV shows. However, its content library is still growing, and it’s not yet clear if the Barbie movie will be included.
Current Peacock Content
As of my knowledge cutoff in December 2023, Peacock’s content library includes:
- TV shows: The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation, and many more
- Movies: The Notebook, The Princess Diaries, and many more
- Original content: Peacock Originals, including shows like The Circle, The End, and more
Barbie Movie Availability on Peacock
Unfortunately, the Barbie movie is not currently available on Peacock. According to various reports, the movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023, and it’s expected to be a major box office hit. However, its availability on Peacock is uncertain.
Why Peacock Might Not Have the Barbie Movie
There are several reasons why Peacock might not have the Barbie movie:
- Content licensing agreements: Peacock’s content licensing agreements with studios and distributors might not include the Barbie movie.
- Production and distribution: The movie’s production and distribution might be handled by a different company or studio, which could limit Peacock’s ability to acquire the film.
- Marketing and promotion: Peacock might not have the marketing and promotional muscle to compete with the movie’s massive marketing campaign.
Alternative Options
If the Barbie movie is not available on Peacock, there are alternative options to consider:
- Theaters: The movie will be released in theaters on July 21, 2023, and you can catch it there.
- Streaming services: You can also watch the movie on other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, or Disney+.
- Rent or buy: You can rent or buy the movie on platforms like Google Play, iTunes, or Vudu.

While the Barbie movie is not currently available on Peacock, it’s not impossible that it might be included in the future. However, for now, it’s best to check with Peacock directly to see if the movie is available. If you’re looking for alternative options, there are plenty of other streaming services and theaters to choose from.
