When Will Elemental Be on Disney+?
Discovery of Elemental’s Platform and Availability
Elemental, a popular animated series created by Danny Balkin and Ryan Potter, was initially intended for a Netflix home video distribution platform. However, in 2020, it was announced that Netflix would be acquiring the rights to the show and releasing it on its platform, known as Netflix Originals. As a result, Netflix’s Elemental platform will become the official platform for the series.
Platform Release and New Content
Netflix’s Elemental platform was launched in June 2021, providing fans with access to the entire series, including South Park, The Simpsons, and Regular Show, among others. With the addition of Elemental, Netflix gained access to the show’s complex animation, including detailed character designs, extensive environments, and an intricate world-building process.
Future Content Availability
In order to keep up with the latest updates, User-friendly interface and commentary features were introduced, allowing users to access content in real-time, track season releases, and engage with the community in new ways. Optional paid subscription model, will be added to keep fans up-to-date with the latest season releases.
Comparison with Disney+
While Netflix’s Elemental platform is the primary platform for Elemental, the show is not exclusive to Netflix. Elemental also features episodes on Disney+. However, the content availability is limited to select episodes and not the entire series.
| Disney+ Episodes | Elemental Episodes | Difference | |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Episodes | Old Episodes | Disney+ has a few new episodes available, while Netflix has access to the full series, offering more episodes | |
| Disney+ has the first two seasons of the show, while Netflix has access to all three seasons |
Systemic Interior Disposal Limitations
The most significant difference between the two platforms is the availability of old content. Netflix is required to release all episodes from the series, regardless of when the current season was released, ensuring that users can access every episode in its entirety. In contrast, Disney+ has a more complex system in place, with users able to download a limited number of episodes and can be part of a watchlist, potentially helping users access the most valuable content from the series.
Comparison of Revisions
In the current release seasons, both platforms feature different versions of the show. The only difference between the two platforms is the availability of summer mini-exports. These short episodes are released only in one platform, while the others have a two-season cycle.
| New Episodes | Summer Mini-Exports |

| Linear Release | |

Out-of-Season Episodes on Netflix
Netflix offers an out-of-season selection, providing access to Summer, Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes for a single season. Netflix offers this title at an additional cost.
| Status | Out-of-Season Episodes |
|---|---|
| New Episodes | Released only in Netflix |
| Summer Episodes | Released in Netflix |
