Why the Lack of a Season 7 on Netflix?
There are several reasons why Outlander is not currently available on Netflix in the United States.
- Contractual Obligations: Netflix has a contract with the streaming platform to carry Outlander, but it is unclear whether this contract will be renewed.
- Licensing Issues: Outlander is a licensed property of the producers, and Netflix may not have the necessary licensing agreements to carry the show.
- Production and Distribution: Outlander is a complex production, with multiple countries involved in the production and distribution of the show. Netflix may not have the necessary resources or expertise to handle the production and distribution of the show.
A Look Ahead to Season 7
Despite the lack of a Season 7 on Netflix, there are still many reasons to be excited about the future of Outlander.
- Production on Season 7: The seventh season is currently in production, with filming taking place in Scotland and the United Kingdom.
- Diana Gabaldon’s Involvement: Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander novels, is heavily involved in the production of the show, and is expected to make appearances throughout the season.
- New Characters and Plotlines: The seventh season is expected to introduce new characters and plotlines, including the arrival of a new love interest for Jamie and the threat of war in 18th-century Scotland.
Conclusion
While Outlander is not currently available on Netflix in the United States, there are still many reasons to be excited about the future of the show. With production on Season 7 underway and Diana Gabaldon’s involvement, it is likely that the show will continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Whether or not a Season 7 will be released on Netflix in the future remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Outlander is a beloved and enduring series that will continue to thrill audiences for years to come.
