Is the KC Game Only on Peacock?
The Unofficial Answer to a Question that’s Been on Your Mind
The Kansas City Chiefs (KCs) are one of the most beloved and successful teams in the National Football League (NFL). With a rich history of Super Bowl wins, playoff appearances, and consistent on-field success, it’s no wonder that fans around the world are eager to watch their team play. But, have you ever wondered why the Chiefs’ games are not widely available on other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or even Hulu? Is the KC game only on Peacock? Let’s explore the answer to this question.
The Official Answer: No, the KC Game is Not Only on Peacock
While it’s understandable to assume that the Chiefs’ games are only available on the NFL’s official streaming service, Peacock, the truth is that the KC game is not exclusive to Peacock. In fact, the entire NFL season, including the Chiefs, is widely available on various streaming platforms like:
- Amazon Prime Video: Offers full-season access to the NFL, including the Chiefs’ games.
- NFL Sunday Ticket: Provides 10 games per team per season, giving fans 10 full games to watch.
- NFL Sunday Ticket Prime: Offers 10 games per team per season, including Sundays with the Chiefs.
- ESPN+: Offers full-season access to the NFL, including the Chiefs’ games.
- NBC Sports Peacock: Offers some NFL games, including preseason and International Games, through its partnership with NBC Sports.
Why Is the Chiefs Game Available Elsewhere?
There are several reasons why the Chiefs’ game is not exclusive to Peacock:
- NFL’s Stricter Streaming Rules: The NFL has strict rules regarding its streaming partners, and some games are not available on specific platforms. For example, some games may only be available on NBC Sports Peacock or Amazon Prime Video.
- Competition for Rights: The NFL has a long-standing partnership with CBS, which broadcasts most of the NFL’s Sunday afternoon games. While this means that CBS has exclusive rights to certain games, including the Chiefs’ games, the NFL is also offering similar content on other platforms like Amazon Prime Video and NBC Sports Peacock.
- Third-Party Rights Deals: The NFL has third-party rights deals with various streaming platforms, which can include exclusive deals for specific teams like the Chiefs.
