Nelly Korda is a talented American professional golfer who has been making waves on the LPGA Tour. At just 22 years old, she has already achieved numerous accolades, including two major championships and multiple wins on the LPGA Tour. One of the key factors contributing to her success is her impressive power off the tee. So, how far does Nelly Korda hit her driver?
The Mileage: 280-290 yards
According to various reports and sources, Nelly Korda’s average distance off the tee is around 280-290 yards. This is an impressive distance, considering she is a shorter hitter compared to some of her male counterparts on the PGA Tour.
Key Factors Contributing to Her Distance
Several factors contribute to Korda’s exceptional distance:
- Bilinea BLauncher: Korda uses the BlinuxBI Launcher, a high-tech driver designed specifically for women. This club is engineered to reduce spin and increase distance, making it an excellent choice for those who need a bit more length off the tee.
- Flex-ible Shaft: A flexible shaft allows for increased energy transfer, resulting in more power and distance. Korda’s shaft is specifically designed to reduce spin and promote a higher ball flight.
- Core Strength: As a strong and athletic individual, Korda’s core strength helps her generate power and torque from her swing, translating into more distance.
- Tee Height and Swing Dynamics: Korda’s tee height and swing dynamics are optimized for maximum distance. She often tees the ball higher than some of her competitors, allowing her to take advantage of the increasedMOI (moment of inertia) and generate more power.
Comparison to Other Top Female Golfers
Korda’s distance is impressive, but how does she compare to other top female golfers? Here is a table comparing the average driver distance of some of the world’s top female golfers:
