What is Restricted Mode on YouTube?
Restricted Mode is a feature on YouTube that aims to limit access to mature content, such as explicit language, graphic violence, and disturbing content, for users under 18. How to Remove Restricted Mode on YouTube
Method 1: Deleting the Restricted Mode Settings Page
- Go to your YouTube profile picture icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Click on Settings.
- Scroll down to the Account section.

- Click on Restricted Mode.

What Happens When Restricted Mode is Removed?
- The content will no longer be flagged as potentially objectionable.
- You will be able to watch the video without restriction.
- However, some features like YouTube Red will still be available, and you will still be able to watch ads and access some premium content.
Important Note: If you have already removed Restricted Mode from your account, you will still have access to the content. However, the content will no longer be flagged as potentially objectionable.

- Go to youtube.com.
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Click on Account settings.
- Click on Device and network settings.
- Click on Restricted Mode.

Important Note: Using the YouTube account settings method will completely remove Restricted Mode, and you will need to set it back to the default settings when you sign in to your YouTube account.
