Does YouTube TV Show All NFL Games?
As a consumer of online content, it’s natural to wonder if YouTube TV, a relatively new streaming service, offers live NFL games. The answer to this question is a resounding yes, but with some caveats.
What is YouTube TV?
YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service that provides access to a wide range of channels, including ESPN, CBS, FOX, and NBC, as well as live sports networks like ESPN2 and ESPNU. It also offers personalized recommendations based on your viewing history, allowing you to discover new channels and content.
Live Sports on YouTube TV
YouTube TV offers live sports programming, including NFL games, in addition to its regular programming schedule. However, the selection of live NFL games is limited compared to other streaming services.
YouTube TV’s NFL Game Selection
Here are some key points about YouTube TV’s NFL game selection:
- Live NFL Games: YouTube TV airs 13 live NFL games per season, including Sunday afternoon games, Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football.
- NFL Games on YouTube TV: Some of the most popular NFL games on YouTube TV include:
- Sunday afternoon games
- Monday Night Football
- Thursday Night Football
- NFL Red Zone
- NFL Live
- No NFL Sundays: YouTube TV does not air NFL Sundays, which are the standard Sunday afternoon games.
Why Not All NFL Games?
There are several reasons why YouTube TV does not offer all NFL games:
- Content Fees: The NFL has significant content fees for its games, which YouTube TV has to pay for. These fees are higher than those paid by traditional broadcast networks, which means that YouTube TV can’t offer all NFL games at a competitive price.
- Tight Licensing Agreements: The NFL has a complex licensing agreement with ESPN, which requires YouTube TV to carry some of the NFL’s content at a cost.
- Competition from Other Streaming Services: YouTube TV faces competition from other streaming services, such as CBS All Access and Hulu with Live TV, which offer NFL games at a lower price point.
Can You Get All NFL Games on YouTube TV?
Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to access all NFL games on YouTube TV. While YouTube TV offers live NFL games, it also offers other live sports programming, including MLB, NHL, and NBA games. However, if you’re looking for all the games you want to watch, you may need to consider other streaming services.
Other Streaming Services
Here’s a comparison of YouTube TV’s NFL game selection with other streaming services:
| Streaming Service | Live NFL Games | NFL Games per Season |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube TV | 13 | 13 |
| Hulu with Live TV | 10 | 10 |
| Sling TV | 12 | 12 |
| AT&T TV Now | 8 | 8 |
| FuboTV | 9 | 9 |
Conclusion
In conclusion, YouTube TV offers live NFL games, including Sunday afternoon games, Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football. However, the selection of live NFL games is limited compared to other streaming services. While YouTube TV may not offer all NFL games, it still provides a solid live sports package, including access to the NFL Network and other sports networks. If you’re a fan of the NFL, YouTube TV is definitely worth considering, but be aware of the limitations of its NFL game selection.
