Understanding the Snapchat Custom Swipe
Snapchat Premium: What’s New?
Snapchat Premium is the paid version of the popular social media app, offering exclusive features and content. However, many users have been wondering if their Snapchat Premium account allows for the Half Swipe? feature, which appears to have some limitations.
What is Half Swipe?
Half Swipe is a feature that allows users to see half of a conversation or interaction with someone on their friends list. This feature is designed to provide more context and information about the conversation, helping users to better understand the situation.
Can Snapchat Premium See Half Swipe?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. According to Snapchat’s terms of service and user documentation, Half Swipe is only available on Snapchat Discover, which is the standalone app designed for exclusive content.
What About Snapchat’s Standard Apps?
Snapchat Standard Apps, which are the regular apps for your mobile device, do not support Half Swipe. This means that if you’re using the Snapchat app on your device, you won’t be able to see Half Swipe features.
How Does This Impact Snapchat Premium?
While Snapchat Premium is an additional feature, it’s not compatible with Half Swipe. This means that if you’re using Snapchat Premium, you won’t be able to access Half Swipe features.
Why Can’t Snapchat See Half Swipe?
There are a few reasons why Snapchat Premium can’t see Half Swipe:
- Inheritance of old app features: Snapchat Premium is built on top of the standard app, and therefore inherits the limitations of the standard app. Half Swipe, as a feature, is specific to the standard app.
- Lack of integration with Discover: Half Swipe is only available on Snapchat Discover, which is a separate app designed for exclusive content. Snapchat Premium is not integrated with Discover, making it impossible to access Half Swipe features.
Are There Any Exceptions?
While Snapchat Premium can’t see Half Swipe, there are some exceptions:
- Snapchat Discover: As mentioned earlier, Half Swipe is only available on Snapchat Discover. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t see Half Swipe features on your standard app. You can still access Half Swipe on Snapchat Discover, but you won’t be able to see it on your standard app.
- Snapchat Premium for Business: Snapchat offers a business version of their app, which has its own set of features and limitations. Half Swipe may be available on this version, but it’s not compatible with the standard app.

These features are exclusive to Snapchat Discover and are not available on the standard app. If you’re using Snapchat Premium, you won’t be able to access Half Swipe features.
