Does Spectrum have Longhorn Network?
Checking if You’re in the Neighborhood
When it comes to cord-cutting and exploring new TV options, one of the biggest questions on many viewers’ minds is: Does Spectrum have Longhorn Network? The Longhorn Network is a relatively new channel that has gained popularity in recent years, especially among fans of football and country music. Spectrum, a subsidiary of Charter Communications, is a popular cable and satellite TV provider in the United States. But does it carry Longhorn Network? Let’s take a closer look.
What is Longhorn Network?
For those who may not know, the Longhorn Network (LHN) is a regional television network that features a mix of football, country music, and lifestyle programming. The network was launched in 2005 and has since become a staple for college football fans and country music enthusiasts. LHN is broadcast nationally and has a strong presence on the College Football Playoff (CFP) Bowl and the highest-rated networks.
Does Spectrum carry Longhorn Network?
Unfortunately, Spectrum does not currently carry Longhorn Network. This might be disappointing for fans of the network, especially those in the southeastern United States who might be looking for it. However, it’s essential to note that the network is available on other platforms, including streaming services and local channels.
Why is it not available on Spectrum?
There are several reasons why Longhorn Network is not available on Spectrum:
- Programming Focus: The decision to not carry Longhorn Network on Spectrum was likely due to the network’s relatively limited programming offerings. Longhorn Network focuses on college football, country music, and lifestyle programming, which might not align with the interests of the cable provider’s target audience.
- Competition from Other Networks: In an increasingly competitive television landscape, Spectrum might not want to cannibalize its own revenue streams by carrying a network that competes with other options.
- Omnichannel Opportunities: By not carrying Longhorn Network, Spectrum can create opportunities for omni-channel promotions and joint marketing initiatives with other networks. This might help to retain subscribers and attract new ones to the platform.
Alternative Streaming Options
However, don’t worry! Spectrum subscribers can still access Longhorn Network through other streaming services. Here are a few options:
- Streaming Services: Spectrum customers can access Longhorn Network on platforms like Hulu, YouTube TV, and Paramount+.
- DISH Network: Some subscribers to DISH Network’s digital package can access Longhorn Network through the DISH Anywhere app.
- Longhorn Network Website: Fans can also purchase individual episodes or seasons of Longhorn Network through its website.
Is Longhorn Network Worth Checking Out?
While Spectrum might not be carrying Longhorn Network, the network remains a great option for fans of college football and country music. Here are a few reasons why Longhorn Network is worth checking out:
- Authentic College Football Experience: Longhorn Network provides a genuine college football experience, complete with high-quality broadcasts and in-depth analysis.

In conclusion, Spectrum does not currently carry Longhorn Network, but fans of the network can still access it through other streaming services or the Longhorn Network website. While it might not be a direct addition to the Spectrum lineup, Longhorn Network remains a great option for those looking for college football and country music programming.
