Can You Get NFL Network on Hulu?
No, you cannot currently get NFL Network on Hulu. Hulu’s streaming services do not include the NFL Network. Their offerings focus on a variety of other sports and entertainment content, but the NFL Network is not part of those packages. This article will explore why this is the case and the options available to NFL fans looking for ways to watch the network.
Understanding Hulu’s Content Offerings
Different Streaming Options Within Hulu
Hulu offers various subscription tiers. These different packages cater to diverse viewing preferences, encompassing live sports, movies, and television shows. Crucially, the specific channels included in each tier can vary. For example, one package might include ESPN, but not the NFL Network.
Hulu’s Focus: Avoiding NFL Network
While Hulu has several sports options, it appears they haven’t prioritized including NFL Network. This likely stems from negotiations and licensing agreements, which are complex and potentially expensive.
Why Not NFL Network?
Licensing and Rights Agreements
- Exclusive Licensing: The NFL Network holds exclusive rights to a significant portion of NFL programming. These rights are heavily protected, leading to exclusive agreements with providers like, and significantly impacting distribution.
- Pricing and Bundling: Hulu’s pricing model focuses on offering a wide range of content at varying price points. Integrating the NFL Network, with its associated costs, might negatively impact this structure.
Negotiation Complexity
- Multi-Party Deals: Multiple parties are involved in NFL Network distribution, including the NFL, the network itself, and the providers.
- Constant Shifting: Negotiations for these rights fluctuate frequently, which make it difficult for services like Hulu to maintain such exclusivity consistently.
Alternatives to Watch NFL Network
Direct-to-Consumer Options
- NFL+: This is the official streaming service offered by the NFL. It delivers exclusive NFL content, with a subscription model that frequently competes with other streaming options.
- Other Cable or Streaming Options: Several streaming services might offer NFL Network as a channel within add-on packages. It’s essential to check the details of the respective services to confirm the availability of NFL Network.
Cable Subscription
- Traditional Cable/Satellite: If your cable or satellite subscription includes the NFL Network, you are covered and this remains the standard way to access the channel.
- The Diminishing Role of Cable: The number of people using cable TV is declining, driving providers to explore streaming options.
