Winter really is a wonderful to visit Yellowstone. Wildlife is abundant, tourists are not. The landscape is covered in a beautiful white blanket of snow. Photo opportunities present themselves everywhere you turn. Join me for a week in this winter wonderland photographing the thousands of thermal features, wildlife and more. We'll enjoy the park from the comfort of snow coaches as we visit popular locations like Yellowstone Falls, Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Hayden Valley and Norris Geyser Basin in our quest for the ultimate winter landscapes while on the constant lookout for wildlife opportunities.
 This trip is not for the faint of heart...it will be COLD! I have experienced temperatures in the minus thirties...it's doable with the proper clothing and equipment. I will provide a list of necessary as well as recommended items to bring.
Itinerary:
(Tentative itinerary until 2010 dates are set)
Sat 1/16 - Arrive in Bozeman early afternoon. Transportation provided to Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. Orientation dinner. Overnight Mammoth.
Sun 1/16 - All day in photographing in Lamar Valley with a special focus on wildlife opportunities. Overnight Mammoth
Mon 1/17 - All day *snowcoach ride to Old Faithful with photo stops along the way. Norris Geyser Basin, Grand Prismatic Springs, any wildlife opportunities. Overnight OF
 Tues 1/18 - Spend the day wandering the Old Faithful geyser area photographing wildlife, pools, geysers…bison & elk. Overnight OF
Wed 1/19 - All day *snowcoach ride to West Thumb, Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Falls and any wildlife opportunities. Overnight OF
Thurs 1/20 - All day *snowcoach ride to Mammoth with photo stops along the way. Overnight Mammoth
Fri 1/21 - All day photographing in Lamar Valley. Overnight Mammoth.
Sat 1/23 - Transportation back to Bozeman airport
* snowcoach days are geared towards optimum photo opportunities.
 The $3950.00 fee includes six days of shooting, expert instruction, transportation to and from Bozeman and to all shooting locales via snowcoach and van, seven nights lodging (single occupancy) in historic Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Western Cabins at Old Faithful. Limited to four photographers.
