Yellowstone Fall Rut (arrive in Bozeman)
Sept 23-29, 2012 – Limit 5, 3 spots open – $4450.00
A chill runs up my spine as I step our of the warm car into the biting cold of a frosty fall morning but, it is not the cold that brings on the goose bumps; it’s the bugle of a bull elk that makes me shiver as I visualize his head tilted back with steam coming from his mouth as he calls to his harem and warns competing bull elk away. It is a beautiful fall day in Yellowstone National Park. There is a slight frost on the ground and the colors are muted and warm as the trees signal that winter is around the bend. And, it is the rut; the time of year when the bull elk come together with the cows, forming harems that they will mate with to produce their offspring. It is a great time to visit Yellowstone and experience animal behavior in person.
Excell Nature Photography in conjunction with Yellowstone Expeditions offers Excellent Photo Adventures in Yellowstone Fall Rut.
Join us for five photography filled days as we hit the fall rut hot spots in the park where we will work our subjects as they go about their daily life providing us with amazing photo opportunities. We will base in two separate locations in order to cover the key rut locations focusing on elk, bighorn sheep, bison and more. As opportunity avails itself we will also stop to make a landscape image or two.
The cost of the adventure includes transportation from Bozeman to the park and all throughout the week ending back in Bozeman, six nights of lodging and my personal expertise and instruction. Meals and incidentals are not included.
Group sizes are kept small to give each adventurer individualized attention and for optimum wildlife experiences.
