Yellowstone Safari Day 3

Here’s one more from yesterday… We were driving along the Yellowstone River and came across several Trumpeter Swans. I saw one preening and knowing that it would do a wing flap at some point, I focused my lens on it…

We awoke to several inches of new snow with more falling from the sky and a pretty brisk wind on Day 3 but, that did not stop us from heading out into the thermal area around Old Faithful. With the nasty weather we worked on abstracts along the pools.

Using a telephoto lens enabled us to eliminate the storm that was swirling all around us and concentrate on isolating small areas within the scene.
