The Sun Sets On DLWS Freeport Maine

Our final shoot for DLWS Maine found us at Portland Head Light with special permission to stay beyond closing which enabled us to work with the last light of the day. This image was made after the sun had set and was throwing a soft afterglow upon the landscape. I set my camera to a low ISO, closed my aperture down to f22 in order to shoot at a slow shutter speed and, set the camera to bracket five frames. The combination of the relatively slow shutter speed and the combined images created a very cool effect on the water…

It certainly was a fitting end to a great week.
