Incredible Iceland…Beyond Words

Since returning from Iceland I have had a tough time getting back into my normal (if it can be called that) routine.  I awaken in the wee hours of the morning, work through the day and find myself crashing in the early evenings only to repeat the process day after day.  My thoughts continued to be drawn back to Iceland with images (both captured and uncaptured)  flashing through my mind of a place that is so wild and primeavel that words alone cannot describe it.  I have been at a loss for words to describe my adventure and decided that my images will tell the story of my adventures in Iceland far better than I can with words.  I used my own creative vision, my memories and NIK filters to finish each image brining to life my Incredible experience in Iceland.  The images are in no particular order or theme, just a rambling assortment of some of my favorites…

So beautiful, Laurie. Curious – why 3200 ISO on the last shot?

    • Thanks Randi. It was really low light with snow falling, horses moving and I was hand holding. I had the camera in Auto ISO to increase and keep the shutter speed up. As you can see from the exif info, it’s still only 1/45 sec. Good question!

  2. What a beautiful contrast against a cold terrain, the underground geyser, volcanic smoke, and warm fur and eyes

of the horses. It almost feels like a dream. Best wishes and blessings in every day,
