The End Of The Rainbow

A week has raced by and with it another Excellent Adventure comes to an end. I want to thank the folks at the lodge who make the experience the best it can be, Perry & Angela are the backbone behind the lodge.
Angela, with a quick smile, sees that the lodge is comfortable and everyone has everything they need.

Perry is our guide, handyman, naturalist, expert boat captain and one heck of a guy whose extensive knowledge of the area adds so much to our photographic experience. Perry knows the waters of the nearby bays like the back of his hand and gets us in the best positions for photographing whether we land and walk to our subjects or when we photograph from the boat. We couldn’t get the images we do without his help.

Chris, the new fishing/bear viewing guide put the folks that went fishing in the right place as Don pulled in a 275 lb halibut! Not bad for his first time out.

And then there is Dan…chef extraordinaire! His skills in the kitchen are unsurpassed as he served us gourmet meal after gourmet meal.

As Craig so aptly put it… “This is not just a photographic adventure…it’s a life experience!” Is it ever!

I also want to thank my intrepid group of adventurers who were up for each and every experience with unflagging enthusiasm! I know each and every one went home with hard drives filled with wonderful images and hearts filled with wonderful memories.

This little slice of heaven in the Alaskan wilderness is the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow!

I’m already looking forward to next year! I have booked a very special treat next year… a week during prime bear fishing season. Stay tuned for details…
