With one amazing week under my belt, I was ready and raring to see what week two would have to offer in the winter wonderland of Yellowstone NP. We awoke to colder temps (a good sign) and fog which covered the trees in hoarfrost making the world picture postcard beautiful. Arden, our snowcoach driver, picked us up in West Yellowstone and we drove along the Madison River stopping frequently to photograph. We took a turn through Firehole Canyon and with the frosted trees, the scene was different than last week. The sun had yet to reach into the canyon and in my mind I already knew that the image was going to be B&W when I finished it.

Driving along the Gibbon River, the sun had burned through the fog and was backlighting the trees and steam.
