Every time I fly to a new destination and then back home again I try to get a seat on the side of the plane that will give me a glimpse of Mt Hood. It’s a symbol of home, the last thing I see as I leave for a new adventure and the first thing I see when I return. The problem is, this is the Pacific Northwest and we don’t always have the best weather to see Mt Hood. But then are those rare times when she reveals herself in all hr glory and the light bathes her in a warm glow. That’s just what happened when we flew past our beloved Oregon icon as the sun was setting last night…
It’s always good to be back home…if only for a day. I leave tomorrow for Denver in pursuit of severe weather as a hardy group of Adventurers join me storm chasing…stay tuned
