DLWS Bozeman Day 2 AM

The photo gods smiled upon us this morning with one of the nicest sunrises I have seen in a long time bathing the Bridgers in a warm glow…  Needless to say, the shutters were clicking madly as the light just kept getting better and better.

DLWS Bozeman Day 1 PM

This afternoon found us at the stockyard in Bozeman which is a very cool place to shoot.  There were all these really great weathered buildings and the stockyard itself.  The Stockyard Calfe caught my attention.  With the colors, the weathered and kind of derelict look to the building I knew exactly what I was goin to do in the digital darkroom…

DLWS Bozeman Day 1 AM

We began our morning at Hyalite Canyon where a beautiful stream flows through the canyon. Everyone was enthusiastically photographing the flowing water and beautiful forest.  We’re off to a great start!

The Train Boneyard…

The DLWS staff headed to one of our planned shooting locations today and what a treasure we found.  There is a ghost town on one side and a train bone yard on the other.  The big decision was which side of the road to begin with… I headed to the trains.

Luckily, we will be taking the group back and I can have a shot at the ghost town as well.
